Terms of sale

1. Seller

2. Products and prices

We sell extra virgin olive oil produced in Noto, in the sizes described on the product pages. Prices and shipping costs are not published on the site: we give them to you on WhatsApp before your order is confirmed, in euros with VAT included. We ship to Italy and other European Union countries; deliveries outside the European Union are available on request only, and any customs duties, taxes and charges of the destination country are paid by the recipient.

3. Orders and conclusion of the contract

To order, message us on WhatsApp with the sizes and quantities you want: we reply with the price, shipping cost and availability. The contract is concluded by our written confirmation of the order. If a product is no longer available after payment we will let you know and refund you in full within 14 days.

We tell you how to pay in our order confirmation message.

5. Shipping and delivery

We ship by courier to Italy and European Union countries, normally within 2 business days of payment; to the rest of the world on request. Estimated delivery times from dispatch: Sicily 1–2 business days, rest of Italy 2–4, European Union 4–7. On delivery, check that the parcel is intact; if it is damaged, accept it with a written reservation and write to us within 7 days with a photo so we can replace the product.

6. Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer you can withdraw from the contract within 14 days of delivery without giving a reason, by writing to ortonoto@ortonoto.com (you can use the form below). Then send the products back within 14 days of telling us; you pay the cost of returning them. We refund everything you paid within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal, using the same payment method; we may wait until we receive the products before refunding.

Withdrawal does not apply to packs opened after delivery: bottles and Bag-in-Box are sealed food products that cannot be returned once opened, for health protection and hygiene reasons (Art. 59(1)(e) of the Italian Consumer Code; Art. 16(e) of Directive 2011/83/EU).

7. Legal warranty

Products are covered by the legal guarantee of conformity under Directive (EU) 2019/771 and Articles 128 onwards of the Italian Consumer Code. If a product arrives faulty or not as described, write to us as soon as you notice: we will replace it or refund you at no cost to you.

8. Product information

Extra virgin olive oil; store in a cool place away from light. Mandatory information (origin, batch, best-before date, nutrition declaration) is shown on the label.

9. Complaints, governing law and jurisdiction

For any complaint write to ortonoto@ortonoto.com: we reply within 7 business days. The contract is governed by Italian law, without prejudice to any more favourable protection given by the law of your country of residence. For disputes with consumers, the courts of the consumer’s place of residence or domicile have jurisdiction.
